Xyron EZlaminator - Great For The Kids
When looking for a home laminator for simple projects, you may want to look online for some reviews of laminating machines to see which one is the best for your needs. You will surely run across the Xyron EZlaminator. The Xyron EZlaminator does not use heat or electricity, so it doesn’t really stand in comparison to some of the more expensive heatseal laminators. For small home projects, and for a laminator that the kids can enjoy, the Xyron EZlaminator might be the right one for your needs.
The Xyron EZlaminator is so easy to use. It is a laminator that takes cartridges, so no need looking for the right pouch. You insert the cartridge that you want to use, a sticker cartridge for instance, and then place the item you want to laminate (up to 9”) into the mouth of the Xyron EZlaminator and turn a crank. This nifty piece of machinery doesn’t even need batteries.
The Xyron EZlaminator is perfect for laminating a 4” recipe card, but if you have a regular sheet of paper or document you need to laminate, you will be out of luck with the Xyron EZlaminator. It also doesn’t do well with glossy photos or some thicker cardstock papers, according to the reviews.
The Xyron EZlaminator does have some pretty good reviews by people who need to have a portable laminator for their jobs. A traveling salesperson, for example, might have a need for a laminator while on the road where there is no electricity available. The Xyron EZlaminator is great for this kind of job.
Along with the sticker cartridge, the Xyron EZlaminator also has an encapsulation cartridge available. If you need to do any other kind of laminating job, however, this may not be the perfect laminator for you because these are the only two kinds of cartridges it can use.
If you need a laminator for a larger job, or a quick job, this is not going to be a good choice in laminating machines. Using the hand crank is by far the slowest way to get a laminating job done.
After reading further reviews, if you want a laminator that is easy to use or handy for traveling, this may be a good laminating machine for you. But if you want a laminator with good functionality and more capabilities, you may want to look further. The Xyron EZlaminator would, however, make a great gift for a creative child. He or she can laminate their creations, within the limitations of the laminator, without you having to worry about their safety.
